Day 01 :

Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba

Early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer to Km 82, the starting point of the Inca Trail.

After meeting the trekking team, begin hiking along the Urubamba River valley. Pass small villages and admire your first Inca site, Patallacta, set against dramatic mountain backdrops.

The day is moderate, allowing time to acclimatize. Arrive at the Wayllabamba campsite, where your team will have tents ready and a warm dinner prepared.

Day 02 :

Wayllabamba – Dead Woman’s Pass – Pacaymayo

Today is the most challenging and rewarding day of the trek.

Ascend gradually toward Warmiwañusca (Dead Woman’s Pass) at 4,215 meters (13,828 ft), the highest point of the trail. The panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys are unforgettable.

After celebrating your achievement at the summit, descend into the Pacaymayo Valley for your second campsite.

Overnight camping.

Day 03 :

Pacaymayo – Wiñay Wayna

Begin the day by climbing to the second pass and visiting the circular Inca site of Runkurakay. Continue toward the impressive archaeological complex of Sayacmarca, perched dramatically on a ridge.

The trail then enters lush cloud forest filled with orchids and exotic birds. Arrive at the stunning Wiñay Wayna, one of the most beautiful Inca sites on the route, featuring agricultural terraces and ceremonial structures.

Camp nearby and enjoy your final night with the trekking team.

Day 04 :

Sun Gate – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Wake before dawn and hike toward the Sun Gate (Inti Punku). As the first light of morning reveals Machu Picchu below, experience one of the most magical moments in travel.

Descend into the citadel for a guided tour exploring its main sectors — terraces, temples, plazas, and sacred spaces — while learning about Inca engineering and spirituality.

After the visit, take the shuttle bus down to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, return by train to the Sacred Valley and transfer back to Cusco.

Arrival in the evening.
