Day 01 :

Cusco – Capuliyoc – Playa

Your adventure begins early in Cusco with a scenic drive toward Capuliyoc (2,900 m). From this stunning viewpoint, enjoy panoramic vistas of the vast Apurímac Canyon and snow-capped peaks in the distance.

The trek starts with a steep descent along a zigzag trail carved into the mountainside. As you descend, the vegetation shifts and the canyon walls rise dramatically around you. By late afternoon, we arrive at Playa Rosalinas, located beside the powerful Apurímac River, where we camp surrounded by towering cliffs and the soothing sound of rushing water.

Day 02 :

Playa – Maranpata – Choquequirao

After breakfast, we begin a challenging uphill climb toward Maranpata. The ascent is steady and demanding, but the views become increasingly spectacular with every step.

Reaching Maranpata, the first terraces of Choquequirao appear across the mountainside. By midday, we arrive near the archaeological complex.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first guided exploration of plazas, agricultural terraces, and ceremonial sectors. As the sun sets behind the Vilcabamba range, the atmosphere becomes mystical and peaceful.

Day 03 :

Full Day Exploration of Choquequirao

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the magnificent Inca city of Choquequirao.

With your expert guide, discover ceremonial plazas, temples, storage buildings (qolqas), water channels, and the famous llama-shaped terraces carved in white stone. Because the site is so vast and still partially excavated, this full day allows you to reach less-visited sectors and truly appreciate its scale and importance within the Inca Empire.

Day 04 :

Choquequirao – San Ignacio – Villa de Loros

After breakfast, we begin our return via an alternative trail descending toward San Ignacio. The path winds through cloud forest landscapes rich in biodiversity, with chances to spot native birds and orchids.

Continuing toward Villa de Loros, the trail offers a mix of gentle ascents and descents through remote Andean terrain rarely visited by tourists. This quieter route enhances the sense of expedition and exploration.

We camp near Villa de Loros, surrounded by lush vegetation and tranquil mountain scenery.

Day 05 :

Villa de Loros – Saywite – Conoc – Cusco

On our final morning, we hike toward the road where our private transport awaits. From there, we visit the fascinating archaeological site of Saywite, known for its enigmatic carved monolith believed to represent hydraulic or cosmological models.

Next, we stop at the relaxing Conoc Hot Springs, where you can soak your muscles in warm mineral waters — the perfect reward after days of trekking.
