Day 01 :

Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Km 104 – Wiñay Wayna – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes

Your adventure begins early in the morning with a train ride from Cusco or Ollantaytambo to Km 104, the official starting point of the short Inca Trail. After meeting your guide and passing the checkpoint, you’ll begin your moderate 10km (6.2-mile) hike through breathtaking Andean scenery.

The first stop is Wiñay Wayna, a stunning archaeological site featuring agricultural terraces, temples, and ceremonial fountains. After exploring this fascinating ruin and enjoying a packed lunch, we continue hiking towards Inti Punku (Sun Gate), the original entrance to Machu Picchu. Here, you'll witness your first breathtaking panoramic view of the legendary citadel, a moment you’ll never forget.

We then descend towards Machu Picchu, getting a preview of the site before heading down to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll check into a comfortable hotel. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner and rest, preparing for an exciting second day!

Day 02 :

Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

Wake up early for a magical sunrise at Machu Picchu. After a short bus ride up the mountain, you’ll enter the Lost City of the Incas for a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, exploring the most iconic sites, including the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana (Sun Dial), Temple of the Three Windows, and agricultural terraces.

After the guided tour, you’ll have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own, take amazing photos, or hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional, with prior reservation). In the afternoon, we return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Cusco, marking the end of this incredible journey.
