Day 01 :

Cusco – Capuliyoc – Playa Rosalinas – Santa Rosa

Your adventure begins early in Cusco with a scenic drive to Capuliyoc, the starting point of the trek. From the first viewpoint, you are rewarded with sweeping panoramas of the vast Apurímac Canyon and distant snow-capped peaks.

The trail descends steeply toward Playa Rosalinas, located beside the powerful Apurímac River. As you walk, the landscape transforms from cool highlands to warm canyon vegetation. After crossing the river, we begin the challenging uphill climb to Santa Rosa, where our campsite awaits.

Tonight, surrounded by towering canyon walls and the sound of nature, you’ll feel far from civilization — immersed in the wild heart of the Andes.

Day 02 :

Santa Rosa – Maranpata – Choquequirao

After an energizing breakfast, we continue ascending toward Maranpata. The climb is steady but incredibly rewarding, offering ever-expanding views of the canyon below.

As we approach Choquequirao, the landscape opens to reveal agricultural terraces clinging dramatically to the mountainside. By midday, we reach the archaeological complex.

In the afternoon, explore ceremonial plazas, water channels, temples, and the famous llama terraces. With far fewer visitors than Machu Picchu, you’ll experience a sense of true discovery — as if uncovering a lost city.

Day 03 :

Choquequirao – Chiquisca

Wake early to witness sunrise illuminating the stone structures of Choquequirao. Golden light slowly reveals terraces and temples emerging from the cloud forest — a truly unforgettable sight.

After a final guided exploration, we begin our descent back toward the Apurímac River. The downhill trek offers different perspectives of the canyon and lush vegetation.

We cross the river and ascend slightly to Chiquisca, a warm campsite surrounded by fruit trees and subtropical flora. Enjoy a well-deserved rest after an adventurous day.

Day 04 :

Chiquisca – Saywite – Cusco

Our final trekking morning begins with a steady climb back to Capuliyoc, where panoramic canyon views provide the perfect farewell to this wild landscape.

From here, we travel by private transport toward the fascinating archaeological site of Saywite, famous for its monolithic carved stone believed to represent a hydraulic or cosmological model.

After exploring Saywite, we return comfortably to Cusco, arriving in the evening with memories of one of Peru’s most epic trekking experiences.
