Day 01 :

Cusco – Cloud Forest – Paucartambo – Pilcopata

Early departure from Cusco heading toward the picturesque colonial town of Paucartambo.

Continue to Acjanaco Pass, entrance to Manu National Park, then descend into the enchanting cloud forest filled with orchids, waterfalls, and mist-covered mountains. Watch for wildlife such as the Andean cock-of-the-rock, monkeys, and colorful birds.

Arrival in Pilcopata in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at a jungle lodge.

Day 02 :

Pilcopata – Atalaya – Machuwasi Lake – Paititi Lodge

After breakfast, travel to Atalaya port and board a motorized canoe along the Madre de Dios River.

Arrive at Paititi Lodge, surrounded by primary rainforest. After settling in, visit Machuwasi Lake on a traditional raft canoe. Observe hoatzins, herons, monkeys, and possibly giant river otters.

Evening guided night walk to discover frogs, insects, and caimans.

Day 03 :

Parrot Clay Lick – Jungle Exploration

Wake before sunrise to witness the vibrant Parrot Clay Lick, where parrots and parakeets gather along the riverbank to consume mineral-rich clay — a spectacular display of color and sound.

After breakfast, embark on deeper jungle exploration hikes. Learn about medicinal plants, ancient trees, and rainforest ecosystems while searching for monkeys, peccaries, and exotic birds.

Afternoon at leisure to relax in hammocks or explore nearby trails with your guide.

Day 04 :

Waterfalls – Hot Springs – Shintuya Native Community

After breakfast, navigate further along the river to reach beautiful jungle waterfalls. Enjoy a refreshing swim surrounded by pristine rainforest.

Continue to natural hot springs where you can relax in warm mineral waters amid lush Amazon scenery.

Later, visit the native community of Shintuya, where you’ll learn about local traditions, daily life, and sustainable coexistence with the rainforest.

Return to the lodge for your final evening in the Amazon.

Day 05 :

Paititi Lodge – Atalaya – Cusco

After breakfast, take a final short jungle walk before returning by boat to Atalaya.

Begin the scenic drive back to Cusco, ascending once more through the cloud forest with opportunities for wildlife spotting along the way.

Arrival in Cusco in the evening, concluding your unforgettable Amazon expedition.
