LIMA CITY TOUR AND GOLD MUSEUM
ITINERARY
At an agreed time we will go through your hotel to pick you up and begin our adventure through the City of Lima.
ANCESTRAL LIMA We begin our tour with a panoramic view of the "Pucllana Pyramid", a magnificent ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century AD. and considered "sacred town" by the Incas.
COLONIAL LIMA We visit the Historic Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the Paseo de la Republica, the Plaza San Martín, the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the city among others.
We will visit the SAN FRANCISCO MONUMENTAL COMPLEX, which constitutes the largest sample of colonial religious art in America. The visit to its underground crypts known as "Catacombs" stands out.
CONTEMPORARY LIMA Get to know the most traditional residential areas of Lima, El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar.
One of the most lavish museums in the world of the private Miguel Mujica Gallo foundation is the Gold and Weapons Museum of Lima, it is known as one of the best museums in Peru.
On this visit we will get to know one of the most extraordinary collections of gold, silver and other precious stones from the pre-Columbian cultures that flourished throughout the vast Peruvian territory. Among these pieces it houses objects dating from the Inca Empire belonging to the different emperors who built this powerful empire.
One of the pieces exhibited in this museum is a Chimu ceremonial knife made of gold known as Tumi, other pieces of a religious nature, from the Chimú Culture, ceremonial masks and bracelets are also exhibited here. Pieces of the Moche culture are also exhibited here.
Ancient weapons and armor from different parts of the world are also exhibited here.
